For the last month, I have battled trying to get in and out of the city parking lots on East Second Avenue. Because the
city has not removed the snow from any of the storms, including the one more than a month ago, the parking spaces are
limited to half what they normally are.
I pay to park in those lots - not the lot at the transit center - so when I need to access my car it isn't four blocks
away. After many attempts to speak with supervisors at the city and snow removal department, all I get is: We are
doing what we can."
In the meantime, my parking tickets are piling up because there is nowhere to park.
I have lived in the area most of my life, and this is the worst attempt at snow removal.
