Saying the just concluded Masters held everyone Spieth-less is an understatement.
The 21-year-old looked and conducted himself with the maturity of a seasoned veteran.
The deal-sealer was that great shot out of the tree-shrouded pine needle blanket during Sunday’s final round.
It’ll be interesting to see how he handles his new notoriety.
I also was pleased to see Phil Mickelson stay steady for a second-place finish, which is good for his 2015 chances.
Overall, it was one of the best Masters in recent memory.
Was that rain I felt on my glossy cranium late Tuesday?
And why did Salt Lake City send us their winds from earlier in the day? We may get some needed moisture, which our fairways willingly will soak up.
Hillcrest Golf Club
Hillcrest Golf Club has several other outside sponsored events on its 2015 calendar, and one kicks off Sunday with the Young Life tournament.
Tee times will be between 1-2:30 p.m.
Hillcrest has 12 outside sponsored events on its supplemental calendar, which can be picked up in the clubhouse.
And speaking of the Hillcrest regular tournament calendar, 17 major events dot the 2015 season, and nine directly are tied to the season-ending Todd Sieger Shootout-Coldwell Banker Heritage House Realtors event Oct. 3.
The top 10 money winners in those designated events compete in a 9-hole shootout, so place high and get one of those coveted spots in early October.
You have less than nine days to sign up for the Hillcrest Golf Club tournament season opener, the JTM A-B-C-D Blind Draw Scramble at 7:30 a.m. April 25.
