The second season starts tonight for the Ignacio Bobcats.
The Ignacio High School basketball teams will open play in the San Juan Basin League District Tournament today in Dove
The Class 2A portion of the tournament includes Ignacio, Mancos, Dolores and Telluride.
The top two teams from the tournament will advance to the Class 2A Regionals next weekend.
The Ignacio girls, the No. 3 seed, will take on No. 2 seed Mancos at 3 p.m. today at Dove Creek.

The Ignacio High School boys basketball team, ranked No. 3 in the state this week by The Denver Post, will be playing
for more than a Regional berth. The Bobcats will be playing to host the Class 2A Regionals the following weekend.
A tournament championship likely would give the Ignacio boys the opportunity to host the Regional playoffs. Those 2A
Regional games would be played at Durango High School.

To earn the host bid, the Ignacio boys will need a win tonight and another victory Saturday in the tournament
championship (3:30 p.m.)
The girls IML Tournament championship game will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday in Dove Creek.
