Thirty five artists who show their work at Sorrel Sky Gallery will contribute their paintings, sculpture and jewelry to benefit the Mercy Breast Care Center at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
The center will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from a silent auction of the artwork to help raise the final funds of its $3.4 million capital campaign.
The campaign is known as the "Yes Ma'am Building a Dream Campaign."
Unlike charitable organizations who frequently pressure artists to donate work, Sorrel Sky's owner Shanan Campbell Wells said, "This is the first time in the seven-year history as a gallery that I've asked our artists to contribute to a major fundraising event, and they've shown me why we're honored to represent such a talented team of artists."
Wells is the art consultant who found and installed the art for Mercy, both the interior and in the garden.
Bidding in the silent auction will start Monday in person, by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 247-3555. It will close at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.
The gallery describes the art as "diverse and representing a wide range of price points."
