It looks like Silverton earned itself a spot on 10 Barrel Brewing Co.’s first-ever Beercat tour. But first, what’s a Beercat?
“Think snowcat + beer = Beercat,” said Lauren Haber, a spokeswoman for 10 Barrel.
10 Barrel is a brewery from Bend, Oregon, that opened a brewpub in Denver in 2016.
The Beercat is essentially a mini-pub custom built on a 1987 Spryte snowcat, designed and created with professional snowboarder and tiny house builder Mike Basich.
Later this month, the Beercat will be taking a tour to three Colorado ski resorts, including Aspen and Eldora. It will make its Silverton Mountain stop March 20 and will be parked at the base of the ski area, Haber said.
