About: Ryan has been a sports reporter at the Durango Herald since January 2010, covering mostly Durango High School and Fort Lewis College athletics. Before joining ... the Herald, he spent two years working for the Columbia Missourian in Columbia, Mo., where he worked as a sports reporter, copy editor and section designer as part of his collegiate curriculum. He was a sports intern for the State Journal-Register in his hometown of Springfield, Ill., in 2008, covering mainly high school and college athletics. Ryan graduated from the University of Missouri in May 2009 with a degree in journalism, is an avid fan of Chicago sports teams and enjoys playing the drums in his spare time.
