Some unhappy campers are wearing purple at First Presbyterian Church in La Junta on Nov. 26. The congregation lost a friendly wager against Calvary Presbyterian Church in Bayfield, in which the losing congregation had to wear the winning 2A football champion team's school colors.

After some good-natured teasing on facebook, members of First Presbyterian Church in La Junta donned Wolverine purple at church on Sunday.
Members of the church frowned for a group picture they sent to Calvary Presbyterian Church in Bayfield.
Smiling church members in Bayfield also wore purple on Sunday to celebrate the Wolverine state football win on Saturday.
The La Junta congregation challenged their counterparts in Bayfield last week. The losing town had to wear the winners' school colors to church on Sunday.
"In solidarity with our siblings in La Junta, some of us wore purple too," the Rev. Brian Caselles wrote on Calvary's facebook page.
Both La Junta and Bayfield fans vowed their football teams will meet again next year in the 2A playoffs!
