Chapman Hill to hold ‘BoxZilla’ competition

The BoxZilla rail and box competition at Chapman Hill Ski Area celebrates the end of the ski season.

The first annual BoxZilla rail and box competition will be held to celebrate the end of the ski season at 3 p.m. Sunday, at Chapman Hill Ski Area, 500 Florida Road.

BoxZilla, the largest feature at Chapman Hill, is a combination of seven boxes and rails in a line. Skiers and snowboarders will be allowed four runs to see who can slide the feature from beginning to end without falling.

Age groups include: 10 and younger, 11 to 17, and 18 and older. The winner of each category will receive a free pass to Chapman Hill for next year’s ski season.

Registration costs $12 and will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. in the pavilion at Chapman Hill.
