Columbine Landscapes has welcomed a new landscape designer, Devon McLaughlin, to its team.
McLaughlin has a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Temple University in Philadelphia where she learned the importance of native plant design and creating unique outdoor spaces for people.
In 2018 she spent the summer as a landscape intern at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, studying the principles of organic architecture. After graduating, she spent almost two years working on design-build projects in NYC and the surrounding area.
McLaughlin moved to the Colorado mountains to be closer to nature and away from the busy city. She is passionate about a career that focuses on the environment and restoring ecological functions while enhancing the beauty of spaces for people to enjoy.
Rainwater harvesting, pollinator habitat and native plants are foundational in her wheelhouse of skills.
