Durango City Council is seeking applicants to fill two vacancies on the Multimodal and Natural Lands Preservation advisory boards.
Applications will be accepted until 1 p.m. Oct. 1. Applicants can apply on Durango’s website.
Short interviews will be scheduled with applicants in early October, a news release said.
The Multimodal Advisory Board serves Durango by making recommendations about how to manage and operate multimodal transportation systems, including Durango Transit and bicycle and pedestrian services.
Experience working in the public health sector is required to be accepted to a position on the board. The board meets at 4 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month.
The Natural Lands Preservation Advisory Board supervises the acquisition, preservation, stewardship and use of Durango’s open spaces to enhance natural beauty and increase the enjoyment, health and welfare of its residents.
The board develops and implements the Open Spaces Program, including in regard to new developments and what land parcels to include in the program. The board also creates and refines open-space management policies, oversees improvements made to open space parcels and natural trails.
