Enchant Energy Corporation has named Cindy A. Crane as Chief Executive Officer. She will lead the company that is developing the project to add carbon capture utilization and sequestration technology at San Juan Generating Station.
Crane retired from PacifiCorp, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy, after a 27-year career in the strategic and operational aspects of the energy and electric sectors including thermal electric generation, wind generation, nuclear energy, coal mining and hydroelectric generation. The last four years at PacifiCorp she served as president and CEO of Rocky Mountain Power where she was responsible for 9,000 megawatts of thermal generation in seven western states.
Crane currently serves as chair of the Salt Lake City, Utah Olympic Games Committee. She is also chair of the School of Energy Resources at the University of Wyoming. Crane is knowledgeable about the development of carbon capture technology and its applicability at the San Juan Generating Station.
Crane is replacing Enchant Energy co-founder and Interim CEO, Jason Selch who will become Chairman of the Board. Installation of carbon capture at SJGS will save over 1,500 direct jobs including contractors, plus over 1,000 additional indirect and induced jobs in the Four Corners Region of Northwest New Mexico.
