First Southern Baptist Church of Durango will begin a detailed study of the Old Testament book first Samuel at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the church’s Fellowship Hall, 1715 West Second Ave.
The 31-week study will be a chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse study of this important biblical history book. In the book, the Prophet Samuel introduces readers to the first two kings of Israel’s Golden Period, Saul and David.
The class will be taught by Tom Cummins. Cummins has taught the Bible and religion for over 20 years and holds master’s degrees in Biblical studies and religious education from Liberty University.
