Healthcare Durango invites the community to a celebration of Universal Health Coverage Day from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
On Dec. 12, 2012, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed a resolution urging countries to accelerate progress toward universal health coverage. At this time, the United States is the only developed country that does not guarantee universal health coverage. The event will include speakers and short videos as well as time to discuss health care with others.
