La Plata Electric hires two

La Plata Electric Association recently hired two to its team.

Shea Rivers joined the finance and accounting team as an accounting clerk. Rivers is from Seattle, moved to Durango as a teenager and served five years in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of E-5 sergeant. He returned to school after military service and graduated with an accounting degree from Fort Lewis College.

Jodi Patcheck was hired as a customer service representative. Patcheck is from Chicago, grew up in Durango and graduated with a business administration degree from Fort Lewis College. She has worked at Tamarron Resort, now called the Glacier Club, and the American Automobile Association most recently.
