Lisa Branner joins Community Connections as vice president of marketing and development

Lisa Branner has assumed the role of vice president of marketing and development for Community Connections.

Community Connections is a local nonprofit that serves children and adults with disabilities in Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma and San Juan counties.

Branner will support Community Connections’ mission with public education initiatives, marketing, special event management, grant writing and individual and corporate fundraising campaigns.

A New York City native, Branner relocated to Colorado more than 25 years ago. She holds a master’s degree in English literature and is co-founder of Silverton-based craft manufacturer Venture Snowboards. She has experience in marketing, communications and fundraising in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.

Branner has served the community through nonprofit organizations, volunteering on the advisory council of the Colorado Office of Outdoor Recreation Industry and the leadership team of Southwest Colorado Outdoor Recreation Alliance and working for the town of Silverton spearheading the Silverton Area Trails Plan and Kendall Mountain Recreation Area Master Plan.
