Mercy Family Medicine to open new location in Bayfield

Appointments available three days a week

On Monday, Mercy Family Medicine will open its new clinic in Bayfield.

"We're proud to provide care close to home for those who live in Bayfield and eastern La Plata County," said Mercy CEO Tom Gessel. "Offering convenient access to primary care and other health care services is key to our ability to help improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve."

The clinic is located in Bayfield Center Plaza at 480 Wolverine Drive, suite 3, near Momentum 24/7 Fitness.

Mercy Family Medicine providers who will work at the new clinic are Dr. Richard Keller, a medical docter, and and Ronda Ramsier, nurse practitioner. Hours of operation for the clinic will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"I love the fact that I can go to my doctor in Bayfield rather than driving to Durango!" wrote Suzanne Alsum on the Times' facebook page.

Appointments with providers at the clinic are available on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and can be made by calling (970) 764-9150.

Mercy Family Medicine also has two clinic locations in Durango.  The new clinic at the Horse Gulch Medical Campus at 810 E. Third St. (next to Sonic) opened on May 12. It offers appointments Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Mercy Family Medicine clinic in the Mercy Medical Plaza at Mercy Regional Medical Center offers appointments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
