Mercy welcomes new provider Carey Pedersen, NP

Centura Health-Mercy Regional Medical Center has welcomed family nurse practitioner Carey Pedersen to Mercy Family Medicine-Horse Gulch, 810 East Third St., Ste 201.

Pedersen specializes in treating patients of all ages in a family practice setting. Her care philosophy is to provide a strong and empathetic partnership with her patients for a holistic approach to care.

Pedersen earned her undergraduate degree in nutrition from Syracuse University in New York. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Pedersen pursued nursing and began a career at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore while completing the nursing program at the Community College of Baltimore County. She earned her master of science degree in nursing from George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Prior to joining the team at Mercy Family Medicine, Pedersen cared for patients as a registered nurse in Mercy’s Transitional Care Unit for three years.
