Michelle Simonelli has been brought onto the Pediatric Associates of Durango, 29423 U.S. Highway 160, as a pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in primary care.
Simonelli graduated in 2021 with a master’s from Ohio State University. While earning her master’s, she worked full-time as a registered nurse in the step-down ICU float pool at Ohio State, gaining experience with the adult gerontology population in cardiology, neurology, transplant medicine and general medicine. In spring 2020, she cared exclusively for COVID-19-positive inmates for the first four months of the pandemic. She also worked full-time as a nurse practitioner at a primary care pediatric clinic and continued to work part-time at OSU as a bedside nurse.
Simonelli provides care for children of all ages and for adolescents struggling with depression and anxiety.
