The Powerhouse Science Center & MakerLab has announced its honorees for the PowerFall Ball to be held from 6 to 10 p.m. today (Friday) at Powerhouse. The event recognizes organizations and individuals who are models for others while making significant contributions in our community and beyond in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Walter Dear will be recognized for the L.L. Nunn Honoree in philanthropy; Jenna Kvasnovsky will be the Caroline Romney Honoree for a student; the Stuart Allen “Stu” Roosa Honoree for an individual will be Dr. Heidi Steltzer; and local start-up and engineering software success GitPrime will the receive William Jackson Palmer Honoree for a Business.
All proceeds support continued STEM education in the Four Corners for school students of all ages.
