Ska Brewing Co. earns plaudits

Ska Brewing Co. won accolades in a Portland-based beverage magazine for its Mexican Logger.

Durango’s Ska Brewing Co. continues to draw praise for its canned beers.

Imbibe, a Portland-based beverage magazine, highlighted Mexican Logger – Ska’s summer seasonal beer – in a Cinco de Mayo list of Mexican-inspired craft beers.

“A mildly herbal flavor from the hops forms a pleasing base for the otherwise bright, easygoing brew, that’s best consumed with a lime wedge and a pinch of salt,” the magazine’s Emma Janzen wrote.

Also, Ska’s popular India Pale Ale – Modus Hoperandi – was named to a Thrillist list of “The 14 Most Underrated Canned Beers” on April 28.

The website lauded Ska’s “hoppy, canned goodness” alongside fellow Colorado products Coors Original, Upslope Brown Ale from Boulder and Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s from Longmont.
