The Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs plans to host its annual Startup Showcase virtually on Sept. 22.

Scape’s mission is to create more high-growth, job-creating companies in Southwest Colorado through education, mentoring and access to funding for startups.

The 2020 Scape programming started in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, shining a light on the importance of our mission now more than ever,” spokeswoman Brittany Cupp said Thursday in a news release. “The 2020 cohort is a handful of exciting startups – a mix of product, media and manufacturing companies.”

The 2020 showcase will be presented in a new format with a virtual demo day that provides the opportunity for increased business connections.

“This year’s event gives our companies a chance to connect to our larger entrepreneur and investor community without the constraints of an in-person gathering.” said Elizabeth Marsh, executive director of Scape.
