Imagine getting your Mother’s Day and graduation gifts early this year. Imagine being paid to get those gifts from businesses in the heart of Durango. Imagine that payment being a gift card that you can use at over 80 of the best businesses in town. Sound too good to be true?
The Durango Business Improvement District has a program that does all of the above. BID’s Spring Rewards Program rewards you for shopping local this April. Spring Rewards will provide 200 people who shop at BID businesses in the month of April with a reward. To have a qualifying purchase, spend at least $25 at a BID business in Downtown or in the North Main District that is in any of these industries – retail, food and beverage, personal services, attractions and accommodations. A list of every eligible business is on the BID website at DowntownDurango.org/spring-rewards.
Save any receipt from an eligible business that is at least $25. When you reach a spending level noted below, you can submit your receipts to earn your reward. A maximum of 10 receipts will be accepted to get you to any of the spending levels.
Spend $250 to earn a $25 reward. Spend $400 to earn a $50 reward. Spend $650 to earn a $100 reward. Again, each receipt must be from an eligible business (there are over 350 businesses in Downtown and in the North Main District where purchases qualify). Each receipt must be at least $25 and dated no earlier than April 1.
To submit your receipts, simply take a photo and submit them at DowntownDurango.org/spring-rewards. BID’s Spring Rewards Program will end on April 30, or when all 200 rewards have been claimed, whichever comes first. The website is updated daily with the current number of rewards that are still available.
