Preschool holding summer camp

Bayfield Early Education Programs is hosting Summer Camps for children ages three to eight. There will be two sessions: the first beginning June 6 and running through June 30. The second camp session will begin on July 11 and end on Aug. 4. Each session will be four days a week, Monday through Thursday beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. The cost is $35 per day. Camps include lots of outdoor time, crafts, field trips and other fun activities which will be led by the BEEP staff. Times and days are flexible to accommodate bible schools, swimming lessons and vacations.

Parents who want to participate in this service need to complete and return the application as soon as possible so that the school can move forward with planning and staffing. Applications are at the school office at 645 Fox Farm Circle or on the BEEP website, www.beeppreschool.org.

European quilter speaking in Durango

Durango Quilt Company is hosting an open house to meet Jacqueline de Jonge at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17. de Jonge is an award winning quilt designer from the Netherlands who is recognized worldwide for her quilts, teaching and patience with her students. She will be in Durango to teach three two-day classes on "How to Make a BeColourful Quilt" from April 18-23.
