There is a new state of the art, AI, inexpensive bone density test available in the U.S. that is standardized and not dependent on either machine or tech like the Dexa. It’s called Echolight REMS.
Every woman should know about this test before they are put on dangerous bone drugs. The nearest facility that offers this test is in Phoenix.
In January, I received a DEXA scan at Mercy Hospital and was given a diagnosis of osteoporosis. Severe osteoporosis. The results at the hip, as compared to the low spine, revealed a huge discrepancy.
As I am an active, healthy person, I sought out additional information and through my research fell upon the echo light REMS test, which is for superior to the DEXA, as it is run by AI.
This test was more consistent, and I was given a diagnosis of osteopenia, which is a huge difference from severe osteoporosis where I was offered bone medications based on my DEXA.
I want the public to know about the test before taking life altering bone drugs.
