Some in Congress are just plain rude

I just watched over three hours of the congressional “interview” of Peter Strzok and I am appalled at the display of open hostility, all too frequent rudeness, unprofessional and occasionally childish behavior and disgusting lack of respect for another human being, let alone a person who has served this country for over 20 years with his smarts and has probably done more to protect us than anyone else there.

They demonstrated how ignorant they are about the training, experience and abilities acquired over many years so that a person can separate their beliefs from the requirements of their job when necessary. I wish these congresspersons could do that too rather than demonstrating repeatedly their inability to do so. They seem to forget that they were hired to protect the Constitution, serve their constituents and solve problems, not to primarily push their own private beliefs, disregarding any form of civility.

Perhaps, all members of Congress and the president should take similar training and have similar supervision in the performance of their duties. I have a clearer idea now of how we voted for a constant liar and self-centered performer who promised change in the way government functions. What a loss for us all. I hope it’s not permanent. And I hope we make better choices when we do the next hiring this fall.
