Power grabbing is standard fare for an authoritarian government:
– impounding congressionally-appropriated funds at numerous federal agencies, in violation of federal law
– firing dozens of federal prosecutions, thousands of other federal professionals and 17 inspector generals
– signing of a series of illegal and unconstitutional executive orders
– allowing Elon Musk to provide access of sensitive data to millions of Americans
– attacking the free press
– making lawfirms and universities bend the knee
– threatening our freedom of speech and assembly
– rounding up residents off the streets and stashing them away in foreign prisons without the due process that is the foundation of our constitution – and planning to do the same to U.S. citizens
– ignoring SCOTUS rulings
This is not what happens in a democracy, this is what happens in a dictatorship.
Let us not allow the creation of an authoritarian society.
