Trump is no “Man of Peace”

In his desperate efforts to keep himself perceived as instrumental in the attempts to end the war in Ukraine, Trump has speciously postured himself as a man of peace.

A man of peace? Balderdash!

He has considered military action to reclaim the Panama Canal and to annex (in Putin fashion) both Canada and Greenland. He endorsed the Jan 6. attack on the Capitol as a “day of love, which killed nine people and injured well over 100 police officers. Also, he pardoned many of the individuals (including the leader of the militant, white supremacist group, The Proud Boys.

In many of his meetings, be has joked about having his political opponents killed.

Does all this sound like the actions of a man of peace? No way.

His inept struts and frets on the stage of negotiations for ending the conflict in Ukraine are nothing more than a flimsy attempt to cover his utter inability to (as he repeated in his campaign) “to end the war in one day.”

That Trump is a feckless sophist will become increasingly apparent as his second term grinds on its way to inevitable infamy.
