Corporations operate for one purpose only – profit for investors. Any CEO daring to risk profit to protect a mere river, or employees, would be immediately fired.
We see the negative social impact of corporate efforts to steer markets, consumers, and regulations toward all-holy profit: Our government “by the people” has been corrupted by the rich.
But for the many prices they extract, corporations generally do provide a product or service. It may be cheap – designed to need replacement, to double profit – but at least we get something.
Grifters deliver nothing of value – except an ugly mirror to our civic failure to participate. Grifters rob us through trickery. Talented in seducing followers into a cult, they turn neighbors into foes and destroy society. Sadly, families suffering addiction or abuse recognize the selfish lack of accountability and gaslighting.
Musk’s cabal, supported by Rep. Hurd, keeps jerking our economy zigzag so the rich can insider-trade. Eventually they will “short-term pain” (collapse) the economy to ensure long-term gain for (and control by) the elites.
This spring, those in denial are waking up – even some from the wrecking ball cult. Corporations, so complicit in the prostitution of our democracy, are realizing that they too may be swallowed by this greedy black hole.
Unlike the obscenely rich, “We the People” actually work for a living. We care for our families, and have dreams not requiring robbery and deceit. We’re unstoppable when we rise up for mutual benefit! Visit indivisibledurango.org.
