A free resource and training workshop for low vision and blind people of all ages, their families and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Durango/La Plata Senior Center, 2424 Main Ave.
Participants will learn about a number of resources. The workshop will provide hands-on learning experiences: techniques for independent travel, organizing your home, using your smartphone, reading books and more.
In the afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., individualized training and consultative services will be provided.
