Witchel has the skills McKnight seeks

As District 4 members prepare to vote for the LPEA Board of Directors, it's crucial to consider the candidates’ experience and track records with substantial financial projects.

Incumbent John Witchel has shown strong leadership in managing multimillion-dollar energy businesses. During his tenure, the board reduced wholesale rates by over 10% and returned more than $11 million in capital credit refunds to members. He helped keep rates low, limiting the average annual increase to just 2.5% – well below the 23% inflation rate over the same period. He also helped secure over $16.5 million in grants to protect bald eagles from high-voltage lines, to expand low-cost renewable energy – including the Sunnyside community solar farm – and to enhance wildfire mitigation and grid resiliency.

However, candidate Lyle McKnight is running because of concerns over LPEA’s management. He advocates for electing board members with strong financial and management skills to address these challenges.

Witchel brings the very experience McKnight seeks, so … why change leadership?

Vote to reelect John Witchel.
